Tour of the Red River Gorge Classic Named Kentucky Elite State Road Championships

May 6, 2010 (Rogers, KY) The The Tour of the Red River Gorge returns to Stanton, KY on June 4th -6th, 2010 kicking off an exciting Summer of Cycling in Kentucky events with a three day omnium that features a time trial and two challenging days of road racing through the spectacular Red River Gorge.
Adding to the prestige of the 2010 Classic is the announcement that the race has been name the 2010 Elite Road Championships.
On Saturday the Cat 4/5 Men, Women 1/2/3 and Cat 4 women will race for their State Title followed on Sunday as the Cat 1/2 and Cat 3 Men fight for their Championship on the epic Battle of Byway Stage. Racers must have a valid USA Cycling license issued with a Kentucky address in order to be eligible for the State Championship. No one-day license holders are eligible for the title.
The weekend begins with a 7.4 mile TT on Friday evening followed by two days of road races. Saturday's road race features a 51 mile rolling course followed by Sunday's Classic uber-challenging stage through the Gorge.
The Tour of the Red River Gorge Classic features categories for: Pro 1/2 Men, Cat 3 Men, Cat 4/5 Men, Master's Men 40+, Women 1/2/3 and Cat 4 Women.

There will be no "day-of" registration allowed for the Friday evening prologue.
$10.00 late fee for "day-of" registration for the road races.
All events are permitted and run under USA Cycling rules.
