Update and Improved in 2009! Our Classic event for Cat 1-5, Masters and Women. Events include a Friday evening Prologue with road races on Saturday and Sunday. July 14 - 17, 2008 - TOUR of the Red River Gorge Invitational UCI 2.1 Junior 17-18 Elite Team Race
Invitational Stage Race for Elite Juniors! This epic week of racing begins on Monday in Lexington with the Team Presentations and the action starts Tuesday morning with a Prologue followed by an afternoon road race. Wednesday features a Time Trial which will set things up for Thursday's penultimate Battle on the Byway Road Race. The winner will be crowned on Friday as the riders return to Lexington for the final battle in the Twilight Criterium. Eligible teams wishing to receive an invitation should contact the Event Technical Director.
July 17 - 19, 2009 - TOUR of the Red River Gorge Junior Omnium - This LAJRS event will feature the 10 - 18 year old Junior men and women, the future of road cycling, in this World Championship Team Qualifier event. Our Friday night Twilight Criterium gives the LAJRS athletes the opportunity to race on the same course as the older Elite Athltes. LAJRS athletes should plan to race and then stay to cheer!
